Based in Cardiff, South Wales, Kacie is a food and travel blogger, journalist and copywriter. She has a BA degree in Journalism, Film and Media from Cardiff University.
Entitled The Rare Welsh Bit, Kacie’s blog was set up in 2010 and covers food and travel in South Wales and beyond.
The Rare Welsh Bit was recently named one of Credit Donkey’s Best Travel Food Blogs. In 2015, the blog was shortlisted for ‘Best in Food’ in the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards, named one of WalesOnline’s 11 tastiest Welsh food bloggers and listed as one of dotcomgiftshop’s 20 tasty foodie blogs.
Alongside blogging, Kacie writes features for publications such as Around Town Wales magazine (comprising four quarterly publications, each covering a different region of South Wales) and previously managed their Twitter account, in addition to editing the food and drink section of Around Town Cardiff and the Vale magazine.
Previously, Kacie has written about financial services for Wales’ first full-service content marketing agency, Brand Content in addition to producing both internal and external communications on behalf of the FTSE 100-listed insurance firm, Admiral Group plc.
Kacie has also completed a CIM-accredited course in social media marketing and she has extensive experience of using Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Instagram, in addition to scheduling apps such as Hootsuite and Buffer. Previously, she has written and edited tweets on behalf of the premier marketing platform for the conference and exhibition industry, XIBO.
